Photography background

Steve Miller has been working as a photojournalist, photo editor, documentary, portrait, and fine-art photographer for the past seven years. He recently left The Newark Star-Ledger where he was Sports Photo Editor from 2005 through 2008 to pursue a dual-certification masters degree in education, teaching art and history. Steve graduated Magna Cum Laude from Montclair State in 2005 with an undergraduate degree concentrating in photography.

Steve has covered such events as the recent New York Giants Super Bowl, the 2008 Summer Olympics in Bejing, MLB and NHL playoffs, as well as all NY/NJ metro sports teams. He has won regional awards and recognition for his documentary and fine-art photography from the New Jersey Press Association, Photo District News (PDN), and has been shown in numerous galleries in the New Jersey and New York area.
