Photography

Michelle Valentino’s start in photography began in May 2001 when she was introduced to Bill Apter, a well known pro wrestling magazine editor/photographer. Later that night, she was offered an opportunity to photograph a pro wrestling event. Over the next years, she fine tuned her work at various shows in the northeast and co-created a company called GetLost Photography.

In May 2008, Michelle met Astronaut Jones shortly before she left New Jersey for an extended vacation in the midwest. While away, she gave a lot of thought to conversations she had with Astronaut and decided that some changes were in order. The following month, Michelle began photographing his shows and decided that working with bands was what she wanted to do. A few months later, Michelle made the decision to leave GetLost Photography and start out on her own.

Since then, Michelle’s photographic style seems to keep evolving with every show she does. Her preference is to use available light and try not to use a flash if possible.

Michelle Valentino’s current artists include Johnny Drama, Astronaut Jones, The Hype, Independent Wrestling Federation, Chuck Schaeffer, and Mitch Savoie.
